Junior Alex Van Lumich began playing tennis at age 5 after his father introduced him to the sport and continued through his adolescence out of personal interest rather than external pressure. Growing up in Spain, he primarily played on clay courts and in a juniors league that emphasized individual play, and has since found success on the men’s tennis lineup.
