Anthony Smith charged after handgun, drugs found during Horsham hotel stop
Horsham Township police recovered a loaded handgun and suspected illegal drugs during an investigation at a township hotel and a subsequent vehicle search.
On June 18, 2026, Horsham Township officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a hotel and encountered 36-year-old Anthony Smith, recovering a small quantity of suspected illegal drugs. A search warrant executed on Smith’s vehicle yielded a loaded, operable handgun he was legally prohibited from possessing, additional suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia, and items consistent with distribution. Smith was charged with possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm; on September 10, 2026, all charges were held for court.
