Anthony Smith charged after loaded handgun, suspected drugs recovered in Horsham
Officers responding to suspicious activity at a Horsham hotel seized suspected drugs from Anthony Smith and, after executing a vehicle search warrant, recovered a loaded handgun and additional items tied to distribution.
On June 18, 2026, Horsham Township police officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a hotel and encountered 36-year-old Anthony Smith, recovering a small quantity of suspected illegal drugs. A subsequent search warrant for Smith’s vehicle produced a loaded, operable handgun he was prohibited from possessing, additional suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with intent to distribute. Smith was charged with FIREARMS NOT TO BE CARRIED WITHOUT LICENSE, INTENTIONAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT AUTHORIZED BY LAW, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA and POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITH THE INTENT TO DELIVER; on September 10, 2026, all charges were held for court.
