Arturo Lopez arrested after SUV crashes into mobile home on Stall Road
North Charleston man arrested on suspicion of DUI after his SUV sideswiped a parked car and struck a mobile home; he later refused a breath test.
North Charleston Police say 48-year-old Arturo Tomas Lopez was arrested Aug. 10, 2026, after his SUV made an abrupt turn, left the road, sideswiped an occupied parked vehicle and struck a mobile home at 7335 Stall Road. The crash left his vehicle pinned between the mobile home and the other car, preventing him from exiting; he was taken to a medical facility and completed a field sobriety test that provided probable cause for DUI. Lopez refused to provide a breath sample at the detention center and was charged with Driving Under the Influence, first offense, then taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
