Audrey Jimenez overcomes injury to claim NCAA title and Wrestler of the Year
Lehigh sophomore Audrey Jimenez competed through a fractured shoulder socket and torn labrum, delayed surgery and finished 21–0 to win the NCAA title and be named Wrestler of the Year.
Sophomore Audrey Jimenez said a high school coach’s advice—“Enjoy the process. Enjoy it and do it with love.”—guided her through the 2025–26 season as she competed with a fractured shoulder socket and torn labrum. She delayed surgery, pushed through the pain, finished 21–0 for Lehigh and captured the NCAA title and Wrestler of the Year honors.
