Back to School: Jeannette Police Urge Safety
City of Jeannette Police Department offers reminders to drivers, parents and students as the school year begins.
The City of Jeannette Police Department wishes students a wonderful school year and is urging the community to keep children safe as classes resume. Drivers are asked to slow down in school zones, obey speed limits, stop for buses when red lights are flashing and never pass a stopped school bus; parents should review crosswalk and bus safety with children, and students should stay alert, avoid distractions, stay off the roadway while waiting for buses, and follow their bus driver’s instructions.
