DeLand Police Teach D.A.R.E. in Local Classrooms All School Year
Officers visit local classrooms weekly to help students develop decision-making skills, resist peer pressure and know where to turn for help.
DeLand Police officers teach D.A.R.E. classes throughout the school year, working with students on safe, healthy choices and resisting peer pressure. This week, Officer Muller taught lessons at St. Barnabas Episcopal School and St. Peter Catholic School in DeLand. The department says building trust with young community members begins with showing up week after week.
