On 9/21/26, during a serious traffic-collision investigation at Paxton Street and Mushroom Hill Road, driver Matthew Nehring of Camp Hill allegedly drove around officers directing traffic, nearly striking them; he was apprehended and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault (F1), two counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2) and four summary offenses, then remanded to Dauphin County Prison after failing to post bail. Earlier that day at about 1614 hours, Yolanda Cardona-Cintron of Harrisburg allegedly assaulted two Fire Police personnel at the ramp from Paxton Street to Penhar Drive after refusing traffic directions, fled before police arrived, and faces similar charges with a warrant being obtained. The Swatara Township Police Department reminded motorists to follow lawful directions at incident scenes to protect emergency workers and the public.
