Eileen Ortiz arrested in Pocono Township on DUI and related charges
Pocono Township police arrested a 42-year-old East Stroudsburg woman after a traffic stop led officers to suspect impairment by alcohol and a controlled substance.
On August 8, 2026 at about 2:50 AM, Pocono Township Police conducted a traffic stop on Learn Rd in Tannersville and contacted driver Eileen Ortiz, 42, of East Stroudsburg. Officers said Ortiz displayed indicators of impairment; following a DUI investigation she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility. Ortiz faces charges including 75 §3802(A) (DUI), 75 §3802 D2 (DUI—controlled substance), 75 §1543A (driving on a suspended license) and 75 §1301 (driving an unregistered vehicle).
