Eileen Ortiz arrested on DUI and related charges in Pocono Township
Pocono Township officers stopped a vehicle on Learn Road and arrested 42-year-old Eileen Ortiz on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, plus related motor-vehicle offenses.
On August 8, 2026 at about 2:50 a.m., a Pocono Township Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Learn Road in Tannersville and contacted the driver, 42-year-old Eileen Ortiz of East Stroudsburg, who showed signs of impairment. After a DUI investigation, Ortiz was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance and charged with DUI (75 §3802(A)), DUI—controlled substance (75 §3802 D2), driving on a suspended license (75 §1543A) and operating an unregistered vehicle (75 §1301). She was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
