James Hunter charged with PFA violation in Ephrata
Ephrata police say Hunter violated a Protection From Abuse order on June 12; he surrendered to authorities June 15 and was arraigned.
The Ephrata Police Department charged James E. Hunter, 36, of Oxford, with contempt for violating a Protection From Abuse (PFA) order after officers determined a violation occurred on June 12, 2026. An arrest warrant was obtained on June 15 and Hunter turned himself in at MDJ Landis' office; he was arraigned and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
