Jeannette Police Share Back-to-School Safety Reminders
City of Jeannette Police remind drivers, parents and students to follow safety rules as the school year begins.
The City of Jeannette Police Department wishes everyone a wonderful school year and urges the community to keep kids safe. Drivers should slow down in school zones and residential areas, obey speed limits and traffic signs, and always stop for school buses with flashing red lights — it’s the law. Parents are asked to review crosswalk and bus safety with children, and students should stay alert, avoid distractions, remain off the roadway while waiting for buses, and follow their bus driver’s instructions.
