Lehigh must confront George W. Bush’s record in democracy discussion

Dean Caivano, an assistant professor of political science at Lehigh, says he is deeply disappointed by the university’s announcement of George W. Bush’s Oct. 29 campus visit — not because Bush is coming, but because of how the visit was framed. Caivano argues that any campus conversation about democracy, civic service and leadership cannot proceed without confronting Bush’s presidential record.
