In August authorities discovered a card skimming device at All Fresh Supermarket, 320 Pond St., prompting an investigation and public alert. Bristol-based Allied Electronics donated a handheld SkimBuster—capable of detecting deep-insert and overlay skimmers in seconds without teardown—and joined District Attorney Joe Khan and Police Chief Joe Moors to train store management and law enforcement on routine terminal inspections. One man has been arrested and police continue to seek a co-conspirator; officials warned that EBT users are especially vulnerable to this predatory fraud.
