Luis Yupangui Castro arrested in alleged sexual relationship with 14-year-old
A North Versailles man faces multiple charges after state police say he had sexual contact and exchanged explicit images with a 14-year-old.
State police say 21-year-old Luis Yupangui Castro is charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person under 16, child pornography-related offenses and other counts after an investigation that began in July. Investigators allege the victim, 14, found Castro on Instagram, met him at a party, snuck out to see him on five occasions, engaged in sexual activity at least twice and exchanged sexually explicit images—one act was recorded. Troopers obtained a digital download of the victim’s phone, reviewed the material and Castro was denied bail.
