Matthew Hutek arrested in Carlisle vehicle thefts
Police detained a man matching reports of someone attempting to enter vehicles on Graham Street and linked him to a similar incident the previous day.
On Wednesday 9/16/26 Carlisle police responded to reports of a white male in a black hoodie attempting to enter vehicles on Graham Street and located a matching suspect, identified as Matthew Hutek, 39. Officers determined Hutek was also the suspect in a similar theft-from-vehicle incident on 9/15/26; he was arrested for both incidents and transported to the Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment. Charges listed include PA 18 3934 theft from a motor vehicle, PA 18 4106 access device fraud, PA 18 907 possessing instruments of crime, and PA 35 780-113A32 possession of drug paraphernalia.
