Between Aug. 21–23, 2026, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christian Russell, 24, after stolen credit cards taken from a vehicle were used at multiple businesses; Russell faces charges including first-degree criminal auto trespass, theft, identity fraud and unauthorized use of a financial transaction device. Other arrests during the period included Jiayi Liu, 38, on third-degree assault, unlawful sexual contact and domestic violence; Fransisca Dores, 46, for harassment, criminal mischief and domestic violence; Everett Hill, 36, for harassment, violating a protection order and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Jaydan Barber, 21, for third-degree assault and domestic violence.
