Brian Richard Fitzgerald, 51, a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, was arrested in Lower Makefield Township and arraigned on felony counts alleging possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication facility. The investigation began after an NCMEC CyberTip reported an illicit file shared on Discord; digital forensics and subscriber records linked the account to Fitzgerald’s residence, and a search warrant recovered AI prompts, scripts and chat logs showing he admitted to creating and sharing illicit images. Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel set bail at $2 million (10 percent) and remanded him to Bucks County Correctional Facility; a preliminary hearing is scheduled later this month.
