North Versailles man charged after alleged sexual relationship with 14-year-old
State police say a 21-year-old North Versailles man allegedly had sexual contact and exchanged explicit images with a 14-year-old. He faces multiple charges and was denied bail.
State police say Luis Yupangui Castro, 21, is facing charges including statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person under 16, child pornography-related offenses, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility. The investigation began in July after a relative discovered inappropriate communications and explicit images on the victim’s phone; the victim told troopers she found Castro’s Instagram profile, met him at a party, snuck out to meet him on five occasions and engaged in sexual activity at least twice, one instance of which was recorded. Troopers obtained a digital download of the victim’s phone, reviewed the content, and Castro was denied bail.
