The Saranac Lake Police Department on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 5:30 a.m. alerted residents to suspicious activity after an individual was reported attempting to gain entry into vehicles near Sunset Rd and Olive St in the village. Residents are urged to lock vehicle and residence doors, leave outdoor lighting on, and report sightings or camera footage to the Saranac Lake Police Department at (518) 891-4422 or submit tips at www.saranaclakepolice.org.
