Police investigate blue sports car doing ‘donuts’ at Main and 7th in Stroudsburg
SARPD responded to reports of a blue sports car doing “donuts” and loud crowd noise at Main and 7th streets on Aug. 29; the investigation is ongoing.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, the Stroud Area Regional Police received three 911 calls (11:49–11:50 p.m.) about a blue sports car doing “donuts” at the intersection of Main and 7th streets and eight additional calls about loud music and a large crowd. The first officer arrived at 11:58 p.m.; officers conducted traffic stops on two vehicles at 12:08 a.m., issued citations, and monitored the area until about 3:00 a.m.; no other incidents requiring intervention occurred. SARPD says the blue car appears to be a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with a fictitious New York plate reading "MAFIA," is investigating, and asks anyone with information or video to submit a tip; the department noted social media posts include inaccuracies and reiterated a zero-tolerance stance on street-takeover behavior.
