The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department warns of scams in which callers or messages claim you’ve won money or prizes but insist on upfront taxes, fees or other payments before release. Scammers may request wire transfers, prepaid or gift cards, cryptocurrency, or pressure victims to borrow or sell assets; if targeted, stop communicating, preserve records, and contact local law enforcement or your financial institution.
