Lansdale Borough Police are reminding motorists that under 75 Pa.C.S. § 3345 they must stop at least 10 feet from a stopped school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm until the lights cease, the stop arm is withdrawn, and children are safe. North Penn School District buses use BusPatrol cameras; from May 31, 2025, to June 1, 2026, 7,530 potential violations were recorded districtwide and 5,743 were approved, with Lansdale police reviewing 738 and approving 413. Approved violations carry a $300 civil penalty; officers urge drivers to slow, pay attention, and stop to protect children and reduce violations.
