Students Stage Peaceful Protest at Pace the Prez
Two first-year students arrived at President Joseph Helble’s weekly run at 5:45 a.m. to begin a peaceful protest against racism at the Clayton University Center flagpole.
Giselle Cordon-Rosales ’29 and Maya Schwartzreich ’29 arrived at Pace the Prez, President Joseph Helble’s weekly run with students, at 5:45 a.m. carrying cardboard signs to begin a peaceful protest against racism. The two first-years gathered at the flagpole outside the Clayton University Center and looked out on the dark, empty lawn.
