Summit arrest made after burglary caught on video
Summit police arrested a 46-year-old after surveillance footage showed her entering a building and taking property; detectives approved two burglary counts.
On September 17, 2026, Summit Police received a report of a burglary and reviewed surveillance footage showing Janet Navarette, 46, of Summit, entering the premises and taking property. Officers identified and took Navarette into custody; detectives later obtained approval for two counts of burglary. She was processed and is scheduled for a detention hearing at the 5th District Courthouse; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
