Two Adults Killed, Juvenile Injured in Columbia Pedestrian Crash
A Dodge Ram struck three pedestrians at 3rd St. and Chestnut St.; two adults later died and a juvenile was airlifted.
On Aug. 9, 2026, at about 11:45 a.m., a Dodge Ram pickup struck three pedestrians at the intersection of 3rd Street and Chestnut Street in Columbia Borough. Two adults, ages 71 and 74, were later pronounced dead at a local hospital; a juvenile female was flown to another hospital. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police, who ask witnesses to contact Columbia Borough Police at 717-684-7735 and thanked those who provided medical aid prior to emergency services arriving.
