A fraud report from the 600 block of W. Melissa Cir. in Yardley was filed after a seller agreed to a private vehicle sale with a buyer who said they were overseas and needed the car shipped. The buyer sent a $14,700 cashier’s check that the seller deposited, then instructed the seller to send a $4,200 money order to an Alabama address; the initial check was later found to be fraudulent and the seller tried to recover the money order. The Lower Makefield Township Police Department is investigating.
