Woman charged after deaths at Great Wolf Lodge in Pocono Township
An adult and a three-year-old were found dead in a hotel room; a woman at the scene has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide.
On October 12, 2026, Pocono Township officers were dispatched to room #2030 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun after a woman, identified as Metallica Rose Harrison of Towanda, told dispatch she needed help committing suicide. Officers found Harrison with wounds and located a deceased adult male and a three-year-old male child; Harrison has been charged with two counts of Criminal Homicide and is hospitalized, awaiting arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge. The department calls the case an isolated domestic tragedy, says there is no threat to the community, and the investigation is ongoing.
