Woman charged with animal cruelty after dog struck by vehicle in Linwood
Lower Chichester police say a dog was hit by a vehicle that left the scene after escaping from a yard; officers allege prior warnings and citations were ignored.
On August 24, 2026, Lower Chichester Township officers responded to Laughead Avenue and Ward Street after a dog was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Officers say they recognized the dog from prior incidents on 08/19/2026 and 08/22/2026 and allege Pamela M. Kereszi, 39, failed to repair a hole in her backyard fence despite multiple contacts, warnings and citations, allowing the animal to escape. Kereszi faces a misdemeanor cruelty-to-animals charge (18 5533 A) and two confinement/control violations (459-305 A1 and A2); these are accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
