Wyomissing Police Join Blue Envelope Program to Assist Drivers with Disabilities
A program that helps drivers with disabilities present documents and communicate needs during traffic stops is now available through the Wyomissing Police Department.
The Wyomissing Police Department is participating in the Blue Envelope Program, which allows drivers with disabilities to store essential documents and an information sheet in a discreet envelope to share during traffic stops. The envelope can contain a license, registration, insurance, emergency contact details and notes about medical conditions to reduce anxiety and guide officer communication. Residents can pick up a Blue Envelope in the Wyomissing Police Department lobby.
