ABE Records Busiest November Since 2004
Lehigh Valley International Airport served 86,801 passengers in November, up 8.8% year-over-year, with air cargo rising to 22,033,758 pounds.

(Hanover Township, PA) – Last month, 86,801 passengers used Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) – an 8.8% increase and the highest activity for November since 2004.
“Travel industry forecasts pointed to one of the busiest holiday seasons on record at airports nationwide. We’ve experienced this firsthand with the steady rise in passenger activity at ABE,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, Allegiant jumped 20.5% and American Airlines increased 6.5%. Meanwhile, Delta declined 3.9% and United dropped 23.3%.
TSA Holiday Travel Tips
- Bring your REAL ID compliant document – drivers license, passport or other acceptable form of identification and have it out to show the TSA officer at the checkpoint entrance.
- Pack smart by starting with an empty bag – All liquids, aerosols and gels packed in carry-on bags must be 3.4 ounces or less. Travelers must pack certain foods, such as sauces, jam, preserves and wine – in checked bags if they exceed 3.4 ounces.
- Use gift bags or gift boxes with removable lids when traveling – this will help TSA officers avoid the possibility of opening fully wrapped presents for additional screening.
