Allentown Corvette Club boosts Good Shepherd pediatrics with adaptive toys
Allentown Area Corvette Club donated adaptive toys, cozy blankets and art supplies to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital’s Pediatric Unit and has contributed over $27,000 in recent years.
This winter, Allentown Area Corvette Club (AACC) continued its legacy of generous support of Good Shepherd by donating adaptive toys, cozy blankets and art supplies to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit.
Troy Kasick, a Good Shepherd physical therapy assistant and AACC member, nominated Good Shepherd as a recipient.
Each year, the Lehigh Valley-area club donates funds raised at its car shows to local non-profits. In recent years, AACC has given more than $27,000 to Good Shepherd’s inpatient pediatric rehabilitation hospital.
This year, in addition to the car show funds, the club held a drive for special adaptive toys, which help children with disabilities to play and learn.
Thank you to Bob and Debbie Beckowski, who organized the toy drive; Brenda McGuire, AACC president, and Kerry, her husband; and Jerry Reitano, AACC board chair, for visiting the pediatric hospital to drop off these amazing donations. Thank you for your continued support.
