Elaine W. Godwin arrested on assault, terroristic threats and harassment charges
Ephrata police say a Lancaster woman arrived at an ex-partner’s residence with a pocketknife; one victim suffered minor injuries trying to stop an attack.
On August 31, 2026 at 3:26 p.m., Ephrata Police responded to the 1st block of W. Main Street after reports that Elaine W. Godwin, 26, of Lancaster showed up at an ex-partner’s residence with a pocketknife and lunged toward a victim. Godwin faces two counts of Simple Assault (M2), two counts of Terroristic Threats (M1) and one count of Harassment (S); one victim sustained minor injuries while attempting to prevent being stabbed. An arrest warrant was obtained and Godwin turned herself in on September 4, 2026; she was processed at Lancaster County Prison, arraigned by MDJ Mankin and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. Godwin is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
