ESSA Bank names Alexander Santos community responsibility officer
Alexander Santos has been promoted to community responsibility officer at ESSA Bank to lead community reinvestment, support underserved Pennsylvania neighborhoods, and coordinate lending, investment and volunteer initiatives.
ESSA Bank, a division of CNB Bank, has announced that Alexander Santos has been promoted as the bank’s community responsibility officer.
In this role Santos will serve the primary liaison between the bank and the communities it serves, supporting lending, investment, service, and volunteer initiatives particularly for low- and moderate-income individuals, small businesses, and underserved neighborhoods.
Santos joined the bank in September 2025, where he managed branch teams with a focus on relationship banking and credit access. In this new role, Santos leads community reinvestment planning and execution across assessment areas, including performance monitoring and collaboration with community partners.
He will support community development financing and partnerships that expand access to affordable housing, small-business capital, and financial education; and coordinate employee volunteerism and support to align with community reinvestment objectives and community needs.
The appointment comes as ESSA advances integration efforts following the 2025 merger of ESSA Bank and Trust with CNB Financial Corporation, parent company of CNB Bank. ESSA now operates as a division of CNB Bank.
