Lancaster woman arrested after knife-involved domestic assault in Ephrata
Police say Godwin arrived with a pocketknife during a dispute on W. Main Street; one victim suffered minor injuries.
The Ephrata Police Department says Elaine W. Godwin, 26, of Lancaster, showed up at a residence on the 1st block of W. Main Street on Aug. 31 with a pocketknife and lunged at an ex-partner; two victims reported the incident and one suffered minor injuries while trying to prevent being stabbed. An arrest warrant was obtained and Godwin turned herself in on Sept. 4, 2026; she was processed at Lancaster County Prison, arraigned by MDJ Mankin and released on $10,000 unsecured bail while facing two counts each of simple assault and terroristic threats and one count of harassment. Godwin is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
