Lehigh Valley Greenways issues RFP for five-year strategic plan

Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources are seeking qualified firms to develop a new strategic plan for the Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape. 

The effort will guide the next phase of work for Lehigh Valley Greenways, a regional partnership focused on conserving natural resources, enhancing outdoor recreation, supporting community revitalization, and expanding environmental education throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties.  

The selected consultant will facilitate planning and prepare a comprehensive five-year strategy to advance the partnership’s long-term goals. 

The goal of the strategic planning process is to research and identify top model recommendations, engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions regarding the role of Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape and produce a detailed five‑year strategic plan accompanied by an implementation matrix.

Proposals must be received electronically no later than April 10 at 5 p.m.  

Submissions will be reviewed between April 13 and May 8, 2026, with interviews scheduled from May 11 through May 22, 2026.  

The project is expected to begin June 1and must be completed by Nov. 30.
