Matthew Wetzel charged after meth and Xanax found in vehicle at Hollywood Casino parking lot
Police responding to a report of an unconscious person in a car at Hollywood Casino Morgantown found methamphetamine, Xanax pills and a glass pipe after waking the driver on July 20, 2025.
On July 20, 2025 at about 8:00 a.m., Officer Samuel Frank responded to a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle in the Hollywood Casino Morgantown parking lot in Caernarvon Township, Berks County. After waking driver Matthew Wetzel, officers saw a glass pipe and two small jars; a white crystalline substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine and pills labeled “XANAX” were also found. Wetzel faces charges of Title 35 780-113(A)(16) possession of a controlled substance and Title 35 780-113(A)(32) possession of drug paraphernalia; all are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
