Mechanicsburg resident discovers unauthorized Nissan Financial account

On September 2, 2026, at approximately 6:02 p.m., a resident of the 100 block of East Keller Street reported finding an open Nissan Financial account on their credit report that they did not open. The account was opened at a dealership in Tennessee in early August; it is unknown how the account was created or how the victim’s identifying information was obtained. Anyone with information about the incident (case MBG-2026-09-0083) is asked to contact the Mechanicsburg Police Department.
