Lehigh Valley International Airport saw a slight decline in passenger traffic in March.

Last month, 94,053 passengers used ABE, which is a 1.26% decrease from March 2025.

Still, airport officials are looking forward to an uptick in spring travel.

“There are energy and excitement when the calendar flips to more favorable weather conditions for both air travelers and airport employees. People are thinking about summer vacations, and we’re preparing at ABE for our busiest months ahead,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, executive director of the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

Of the airlines flying out of ABE, American Airlines passenger traffic increased 3%, while Allegiant and Delta remained flat. United dropped by 17.5%.

There is new service on the way. As announced earlier this year, ABE will offer more connectivity to Chicago, when United Airlines increases service to O’Hare International Airport by adding a fourth daily flight on May 1.

American Airlines launches nonstop flights to O’Hare International Airport on June 4.

Meanwhile, 27,276,021 pounds of air cargo was processed through Lehigh Valley International Airport in March, which is a decrease of 3.8% from March 2025.
