Reading Chamber to honor women business leaders at June 11 De Mujer a Mujer Awards

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance will honor local women leaders and entrepreneurs at the 7th Annual De Mujer a Mujer Awards and offer a practical finance workshop at Tec Centro.

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance will be celebrating local women business leaders during a June 11 event at Tec Centro. 

The 7th Annual De Mujer a Mujer Awards will honor women in Berks who exemplify leadership, community and entrepreneurial success. 

Auria Bradley, associate vice president of Workforce & Continuing Education, Reading Area Community College (RACC), will be awarded the Community Impact Award.  

This award honors a woman who has made a lasting impact through her dedication to service and leadership.   

Jennasea Rodriguez the RACC student and youth development professional at Olivet Boys & Girls Club, will be given the Young Changemaker Award. This award highlights a promising young woman who is already making a difference and shows great potential to lead.   

Katy Ogando-Canseco, CEO & co-owner of the Disc Center of Reading, will receive the Small Business Owner Award, which recognizes a dynamic entrepreneur who is making waves through both business success and community involvement. 

The event will also feature a program on “Finances with Confidence.” 

Finanta‘s Michelle Leguisamon and Abigail Torres will present a practical workshop designed to help women better understand both personal and small business finances.  

Attendees will learn how credit scores, cash flow, debt and financial organization can impact your future opportunities, especially when it comes to securing funding for a business.
