Resident Duped in Driveway Sealing Scam, Pays $1,700
Two men claiming to be from a sealing company charged far more than agreed after sealing a driveway; investigation ongoing.
On Aug. 2, 2026, in the 1300 block of Chase Rd., a resident who had contracted a company to seal their driveway for $350 reported that two unknown men arrived early, claimed to be from the company and completed the work. The men then demanded $1,700, which the victim paid by check; the original company later confirmed the men were not its employees. Lower Makefield Township Police Department is investigating.
