RISE PA grants offer up to $500K to small manufacturers
RISE PA’s Small-scale Award Track offers matching grants to help Pennsylvania manufacturers cut emissions and lower energy costs, with awards covering up to 50% of project costs (maximum $500,000).

The RISE (Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions) PA grant program offers up to $500,000 to small manufacturers to lower costs and emissions, achieve business goals, and improve competitiveness.
Applications for Round 4 of the Small-scale Award Track (SAT) for the RISE PA grant are open, and the deadline for Round 4 is Aug. 17.
In partnership with PennTAP, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection awarded in April almost $5 million from Round 1 SAT applications for projects in Allegheny, Delaware, Luzerne, Montgomery, Lancaster, Berks, Dauphin, and York counties. Round 2 awards will be announced this summer. Additional rounds are planned through 2029.
Manufacturing facilities could receive 50% of the cost of a decarbonization project, up to $500,000. Improving energy efficiency yields long-term energy cost savings and can free up resources for other priorities, per a release.
Eligibility extends to Pennsylvania manufacturing facility with fewer than 500 full-time employees. The total project cost is $50K-$1M. The project is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions through electrification, efficiency improvements, low-carbon fuels, on-site renewable energy, carbon capture, or reducing fugitive emissions.
