South Penryn Road closed for railroad track repairs Sept. 14–18

Penn Township Public Works says South Penryn Road will be closed at the railroad tracks by the Kreider Farms maintenance building from Monday morning, Sept. 14, 2026, through the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 18, 2026 while Norfolk Southern performs maintenance and replaces the tracks at the crossing. All vehicles — including emergency vehicles, school buses and mail carriers — will not be able to get through the area during that week; a detour will be in place and drivers should follow posted detours, per the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department.
