State police increase school and bus safety patrols in four counties
Troop A will conduct regular security checks at public and private schools, make lunch visits and monitor school bus routes to enforce Title 75, Section 3345 and promote student safety.
Members of Pennsylvania State Police Troop A will perform domestic security checks each shift at public and private schools across Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties, including building walk‑throughs and lunch visits. Patrol units will monitor morning and afternoon school bus routes to enforce Title 75, Section 3345 (Meeting or Overtaking School Bus); violations can result in a $250 fine.
