Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop A will prioritize school and school-bus safety across Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties this school year. Troopers will conduct domestic security checks each shift — including walk-throughs of public and private school buildings and lunch visits — and will monitor roadways during bus pick-up and drop-off to enforce Title 75, Section 3345; a conviction carries a $250 fine. The effort supports school administrators and aims to keep students safe; more information is available on the PSP website.
