Touch‑A‑Truck at Mountain View School brings first responders to students
First responders brought police and fire vehicles to Mountain View School so students could explore equipment and meet officers.
The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department partnered with the Westfall Volunteer Fire Department and the Matamoras Volunteer Fire Department to host a Touch‑A‑Truck event for students at Mountain View School in Matamoras Borough. Children explored police vehicles and fire apparatus, asked questions, and interacted with officers and firefighters. Organizers said the event helps build trust and connections with young community members and thanked Mountain View School and the volunteer fire departments for making it possible.
