Winter weather contributed to over four dozen flight cancellations at Lehigh Valley International Airport last month, keeping passenger traffic flat.

According to the Lehigh Northampton Transportation Authority, in February 74,737 passengers used ABE, which was a 0.3% decrease from Feb. 2025.

“This has been a challenging winter season for travelers across the country, as flight schedules and airline operations have been routinely disrupted. We’re extremely proud of our snow operations and aviation services teams for braving the elements to ensure the community keeps flying,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, executive director of the authority.

Of the airlines flying out of the airport, Allegiant jumped 5.2% and Delta slightly trended upward by 0.86%. Meanwhile, American Airlines declined 12.1%, and United dropped 12.3%.

Meanwhile, a total of 22,551,929 pounds of air cargo was processed through the airport in February. That’s a decrease of 3.8% from Feb. 2025.
