Bucks County DA Charges Two Men in Separate Threats Against Five Judges
Two unrelated prosecutions allege threatening communications aimed at five Bucks County Common Pleas judges — one via email and one by mail from a state correctional facility.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office charged Timothy Alexander Murphy, 70, a retired California attorney, with one count of terroristic threats after investigators traced threatening emails sent Dec. 11–12, 2025, from his Yahoo account to a judge’s staff. In an unrelated case, inmate Joseph D. Supik was charged with four counts each of retaliation against a judicial official and terroristic threats after a letter postmarked July 6, 2026, mailed from SCI‑Huntingdon threatened four judges who had presided over his prior cases. DA Joe Khan condemned the allegations, saying prosecutors moved swiftly to protect judges and the legal system; both matters are pending and being prosecuted by assigned deputy district attorneys.
