Bucks County DA Charges Two Men in Separate Threats Against Five Judges
Prosecutors say a retired attorney and a state inmate separately threatened Bucks County judges and now face terroristic threats and related charges.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office charged 70-year-old retired California attorney Timothy Alexander Murphy with one count of terroristic threats after emails sent Dec. 11–12, 2025, to a judge’s staff were traced to his Yahoo account. Separately, inmate Joseph D. Supik was charged with four counts each of retaliation against a judicial official and terroristic threats for a letter postmarked July 6, 2026, from SCI‑Huntingdon that threatened four judges; both matters are being prosecuted and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
