The Grand Junction Police Department and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office are united for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, reminding the community that abuse is about power and control and can be emotional, financial, psychological, verbal, sexual, digital, or include isolation. They encourage anyone affected to seek help: call 911 in an emergency, the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or visit thehotline.org, or contact GJPD/MCSO Victim Services through non-emergency dispatch at 970-242-6707.
